Group Operations Agent - French speaker

About the Department

The Hotel Operations team handles groups coming from Asia travelling around Europe, where they deal with post booking services and reservations amendments.

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking to recruit a Group Operations Agent within our Asia Series Department

The role is designed to liaise with our office in Asia and ensure that all hotel amendments, reconfirmation requests and any rates are correct and up to date on our in-house computer system.

Main Responsibilities

  • To contact hotels (by email/fax/phone) to advise rooming lists, arrival times, meal requirements etc
  • Post booking services such as arrival times, upgrades, meal requirements and baggage services.
  • Complain handling
  • Inputting and checking rates onto the in-house system
  • Negotiating other conditions such as cancellation policies, decrease of rooms and upgrades.

  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident to work without supervision
  • Work effectively with a diverse team

Required Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Experience working in the travel industry or similar
  • Fluent in Spanish/French/Italian
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
  • Sound knowledge of MS office applications
