Inbound Special Interest Tour Coordinator - Japanese Speaker

About the Department

UK/Ireland Operations supports the coordination of group tours, on general tour service arrangements for entire regions, providing a first class customer experience to clients visiting the UK and Ireland. This includes promoting extra products to enhance incoming business, for example; restaurants, guided tours and coach trips.

 Job Purpose

Working as part of operations team with responsibility for bookings, coordination of tours, investigating & sourcing new tour ideas and liaising with organisations within UK, Ireland & Benelux for Inbound tours. To ensure all itineraries are correct and that all the agreed arrangements and services are in place before arrival, to deliver a high level of customer service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Liaising with external suppliers including tour guides, restaurants, visitor attractions and coach services, prior to group arrivals to ensure everything is correct.
  • Dealing with initial enquiries to new supplier checks
  • Booking attractions in UK, Ireland and Benelux
  • Booking Tour Guides for the South East Asia market.
  • Work together with other Inbound colleagues to provide support as required, especially during the high season when we have most of our trips booked.
  • Manage complex requests and mediate between supplier and Tour Group.

Required Experience/Knowledge:

Essential

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent Organisational skills
  • Adaptability and ability to work under pressure

Desirable

  • Quick learner and team player
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office
  • Work experience within the travel industry
  • Korean language skills would be an advantage
  • Good geographical knowledge of UK,  Ireland and Benelux region
