Inbound Tours Customer Service Coach Operations – Japanese Speaker

Miki Travel are looking for individuals who are passionate about the travel industry and motivated to join a growing organisation.

Our office in the City of London offers a multicultural environment and employs people with a diverse range of experience.

We bring incoming tour groups from Asia to Europe, more recently expanding into incoming tours from South East Asia to Europe, and the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.

 

About the Department

UK/IE Operations supports the coordination of group tours on general tour service arrangements for entire regions, providing a first class customer experience to clients visiting the UK and Ireland. This includes promoting extra products to enhance incoming business, for example; restaurants, guided tours and coach trips etc.

 

Job Purpose

To provide tour co-ordination support for our new excursion service, JOI BUS, which offers a network of circular coach routes, across Europe, with several joining points for Japanese groups. 
To provide location-specific support on local destination services such as restaurants, and visitor attractions, to a high level of customer service.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering a high level of customer care to JOI BUS incoming passengers using the JOI BUS app.

  • Respond promptly to all JOI BUS passenger queries in Japanese/English

  • Maintain schedules for Inbound Coach Operations, meal arrangement, supplementary trips and guided tours etc.

  • Some shift work will be required to provide cover during the week and weekend, on a rota basis.

Relevant Skills/Characteristics

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, multicultural environment.

  • Experience of managing a high volume of work, during our busy periods when we have a large number of visitors.

  • Professional and efficient telephone manner

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Proactive problem solving

  • Experienced in working to deadlines

Essential

  • Fluent in English and Japanese language skills

  • Good geographical knowledge of Europe

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Korean

  • Ability to prioritise workload

 

Desirable

  • Chinese language skills are an advantage

  • Quick learner and team player

  • Sound knowledge of MS Office

  • Work experience within the travel industry
